Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Security Guard to provide mobile patrol and site security services at a remote industrial property. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a strong security presence, conducting regular patrols, monitoring site activity, and responding to incidents as required. This position requires strong observation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in varying weather and low-visibility conditions.
Security Guard Duties
Conduct regular mobile patrols along the 5 km site (vehicle-based and foot patrols as required)
Monitor and report any unauthorized access, suspicious activity, or trespassing
Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, and dumping
Operate and maintain communication systems (Starlink/radio) for real-time reporting and emergency contact
Complete detailed incident reports and routine patrol logs with timestamps and location notes
Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or client/dispatch instructions
Secure gates, access points, and high-risk areas where applicable
Coordinate with emergency services (RCMP, fire, medical) when required
Conduct site checks during scheduled shifts, including perimeter verification in low-visibility conditions
Ensure vehicle is kept operational, fuelled, and suitable for remote terrain access
Qualifications
Valid Security Worker License.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Ability to work independently in remote locations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in mobile patrol, industrial security, or remote site security is considered an asset.
Ability to remain alert and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
