Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring property, preventing theft, and maintaining a secure environment for staff and visitors. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where attention to detail and proactive security measures are essential.
Duties
Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks
Enforce access control procedures by verifying credentials and managing visitor logs
Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement if necessary
Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with management regarding security concerns
Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious behavior and intervening when appropriate
Operating a gold cart, obeying speed limits
Skills
Prior experience or background in law enforcement is preferred but not required
Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security protocols
Excellent observational skills with the ability to detect unusual activity quickly
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure during emergencies or incidents
Good communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and effectively
Excellent writing skills
Must have a Security License and Drivers License
This position is vital for maintaining a safe environment, requiring a proactive approach and keen attention to detail. We value candidates who are committed to safety, integrity, and professionalism.
(Shifts are Sundays through to Thursdays 8pm to 2am. Must have your own vehicle.)
Pay: $19.00 per hour
