Responsibilities
The Sales Manager is responsible for day-to-day sales and guest room reservations requests, with a focus on building long term, repeat and value-based customer relationships that enable the achievement of sales objectives
In addition, this role has the responsibility to achieve optimal occupancy and ADR growth to maximize total revenue while meeting/exceeding hotel profit objectives
Develop appointment-oriented sales calls to ensure a successful direct sales program, in accordance with goals established by departmental budget and marketing plan
Focus on growing/selling all segments by soliciting new and existing accounts to meet and/or exceed revenue goals and maximize profitability for the hotel
Establish target lists and attain annual room night and revenue goals

Identify ways to grow occupancy, RevPAR, and market share by researching and staying aware of competitor strategies, control labor and capital expenses
Participate in revenue strategy meetings and monthly sales meetings
Collaborate with the Palisociety Corporate Team and Managing Director of Sales to create budgets, forecasts, and business plans
Capture competitor's accounts through networking research to be able to target and solicit those most probable to generate new business
Continually targets and prospects for new business through telemarketing, individual creativity and innovation
Maximize current hotel key accounts by identifying and capturing those that offer room night and revenue growth

• Easily translate a passion for the brand into a unique experience for both guest and employees.
• Personify the best values of the brand, demonstrating exceptional work ethic and service delivery for all employees on property.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
• Minimum 2 years sales experience, preferably at a lifestyle boutique hotel.
• This individual will reside in the Portland area.
• Have a track record of achieving and maintaining superior sales and revenue results at the hotel(s) and can articulate the underlying strategies that led to these achievements.
• Possess excellent communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, negotiation presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate customer needs and resolve complaints independently.
• Ability to establish and master goals.
• Ability to identify and develop accounts.
• Champion employee engagement and promote a collaborative and inclusive environment where all employees are encouraged to speak up and their input is valued
• Must be able to communicate in English, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft office.
• OPERA, and Triple Seat experience is a plus.
• Required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor.
• This position often requires sitting and using hands and fingers to operate a computer or phone; requires ability to talk and hear, communicating clearly through phone and internet meetings.
• Position frequently requires standing, walking, reaching with arms and hands, and occasionally climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• The vision abilities required to perform this job include close vision.
• Lifting between 5 to 20 pounds is sometimes required.
