Role Description The SALES EXECUTIVE – INDIA MART role is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune City. This role involves managing and growing sales generated through IndiaMART, including responding to inquiries, qualifying leads, and converting prospects into customers. The sales executive will maintain and update product listings, pricing, and promotional content on the IndiaMART platform to maximize visibility and lead generation. Daily responsibilities include following up on leads, preparing quotations, coordinating with internal technical and operations teams, and ensuring timely order closure and customer satisfaction. The role also includes maintaining accurate records in CRM or sales tracking tools, preparing periodic sales reports, and sharing market feedback to support product and marketing strategies.
Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience in B2B sales or inside sales, preferably working with online marketplaces such as IndiaMART or similar platforms.
• Strong skills in lead management, negotiation, and closing deals, with the ability to handle multiple inquiries efficiently.
• Good understanding of industrial or technical products, ideally in data communication, networking, or automation, with the ability to learn product features quickly.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including clear spoken and written English and Hindi; additional regional languages are an advantage.
• Proficiency in using computers, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), email, and CRM or sales management tools to manage leads and reporting.
• Organized and detail-oriented approach with strong follow-up habits, time management, and a focus on meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (technical support, operations, accounts) and maintain a customer-centric approach.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; relevant sales experience in lieu of formal education will be considered.
