The company has continued to expand through strong distributor relationships, broader retail distribution across major chains and regional grocers, and ongoing product development. Following its 2025 acquisition by Mizkan America, Zing Zang remains a distinct brand during the integration phase, with a clear goal of accelerating growth and expanding its footprint in more markets.
Role Summary
The Sales Director will own sales strategy and execution for the assigned region, with responsibility for revenue and margin improvement through distributor and broker leadership, along with direct work with key retail accounts. The position supports both Mizkan’s Angostura and Zing Zang brands.
This opportunity is best suited to someone with deep knowledge of the U.S. beverage ******* distributor landscape and customer network, paired with strong leadership, analysis, and commercial judgment. Experience launching new state markets and expanding into countries such as Mexico, Canada, and the UK is especially valuable, as the role will help drive growth in venture states and other opportunity markets.
Core Responsibilities
• Set a compelling direction for the regional distributor network and build alignment around priorities, engagement, and performance.
• Prepare and manage the annual sales plan and budget with an emphasis on profitable growth.
• Segment markets, channels, and customers to ensure resources are deployed effectively.
• Build and carry out plans that deliver key performance targets, including revenue, contribution margin, distribution, pricing, and merchandising.
• Track results regularly and take corrective action to keep the business on target.
• Manage trade investment and distributor incentives to improve efficiency and return on spend.
• Lead, train, and develop distributors and brokers across the region.
• Review distributor performance continuously and refine the network for stronger results.
• Develop trusted, in-market relationships with distributors, brokers, and major retail customers.
• Support direct selling efforts with strategic retail partners when needed.
• Work closely with senior leaders on customer plans and promotional execution.
• Coordinate with marketing and innovation teams to support new product introductions.
• Turn competitive, consumer, and channel insights into practical business actions.
