Company Description Canadian Thermostats & Control Devices Ltd. (Cantherm) designs, manufactures, and distributes a comprehensive range of thermal management products. Its portfolio includes bi-metal thermostats, PTC and NTC thermistors, thermal fuses, thermal cutouts, motor protectors, and inrush current limiters. These products serve a variety of industrial and commercial applications where temperature control and protection are critical. Cantherm is recognized for reliable, technically robust solutions that support safe and efficient operation of electrical and electronic equipment.
Role Description The Sales and Marketing Representative is a full-time role based in Montreal, QC, with some travel required. This position is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, nurturing existing customer relationships, and promoting Cantherm’s thermal management products to targeted markets. Day-to-day activities include conducting customer outreach, preparing quotations, participating in product presentations and training sessions, and responding to inquiries with timely, accurate information. The role also involves supporting marketing campaigns, gathering market and competitor insights, and collaborating with internal teams to improve customer experience and sales processes. The representative maintains detailed records of sales activities and contributes to meeting revenue and growth targets. Our customer base is mostly in the U.S. and the position will require occasional travel to develop the relationships and look for new opportunites.
Qualifications
• Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to build relationships, understand client needs, and provide responsive support.
• Proven Sales and Sales & Marketing abilities to generate leads, close opportunities, and support promotional initiatives.
• Experience delivering Training or product demonstrations to customers or internal teams.
• Background in industrial, electrical, or technical products is an asset; ability to learn and explain technical concepts clearly.
• Post-secondary education in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in CRM tools and basic office software; strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Montreal, QC and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Fluency in English; French language skills are an advantage for serving local and regional customers.
