Router Operator
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Router Operator who has worked in a manufacturing environment. We will offer good rates of pay; negotiable depending on experience.
Hours:
4 x 12 hour shifts (6pm to 6am) Monday to Thursday.*Alternative hours may be available

Here at Barkston we assist through a design, estimating and manufacturing service which helps to develop and streamline our customers products, services and production. Our in-house fabrication and machining facility enables us to manufacture virtually limitless designs of bespoke products across countless industries.
The Role
You will work as part of an established manufacturing team and your duties will include:
To identify materials and tooling from a job pack
Follow design drawings and measure dimensions to ensure compliance with customer requirements
Programme machinery and complete first off inspection
To ensure that production requirements are met in line with the production schedule.
To adhere to BSI standards of quality manufacturing
Work towards the utilisation of Lean Manufacturing techniques in line with Company objectives to support the continuous improvement of the Company.
To carry out any other relevant tasks as may be required by circumstances or are requested by the Company.
Key experience must include:
a good understanding of routers, toolpath and de-burring components
experience of following design drawings
Experience of operating and setting up CNC router machinery
Knowledge of programming CNC router software
Strong technical and mechanical aptitude
Excellent organizational and coordination skills
Ability to identify errors, defects, malfunctioning of the machinery and undertake immediate corrective actions
ability to work with a variety of plastics (not essential)
This role would suit someone who:
Takes pride in the work they do and can demonstrate excellent attention to detail skills
Has extensive experience working in a hands on role
Has knowledge of manufacturing
Works well both in a team and independently
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £16.53-£17.24 per hour
