Key Responsibilities
Must have experience operating an Asphalt Roller on major roadways, ensuring the surface material is to the desired compaction and smoothness.
Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, contractors and the general public in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
Follow project specifications and instructions from supervisors to achieve desired compaction levels.
Inspect and maintain the roller machine to ensure proper functioning.
Monitor and adjust machine settings as needed to optimize performance.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge Experience
Previous experience operating a roller machine is preferred.
Mechanical knowledge and understanding of machine operation principles.
Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
Maintains a valid Class 5 driver’s license or better.
Own vehicle to get to and from jobsite.
