Job Description
Job Summary:SORSYS Technologies Inc. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Robot Programmer/Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming and a solid understanding of industrial robotics applications. This role requires familiarity with Vision Guided Robotics and practical experience with programming tools and robotic software systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work with advanced automation technologies and to travel within Canada and the US for customer site visits and equipment installations.
Key Responsibilities:
Program and troubleshoot robots, vision systems, and associated automation equipment.
Work with Epson RC+, Keyence Vision systems, Modbus TCP, TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, and other related systems.
Conduct on-site installations, testing, and troubleshooting of robotic systems at customer facilities.
Collaborate with the engineering team to refine and improve robotic solutions.
Provide customer training and support on the operation and maintenance of robotic systems.
Support PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting as required.
Maintain documentation for programming, system modifications, and customer interactions.
Qualifications:
Education: Diploma or degree in Robotics, Automation, or a related technical field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of programming experience in industrial robotics or automation.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Epson RC+ software, Keyence Vision systems.
Working knowledge of Modbus TCP/IP and Ethernet/IP.
Experience with other robotics systems, such as Fanuc, is a strong asset.
Basic knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces).
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Travel: Willingness and ability to travel within Canada and the US for customer site visits and installations.
