Job Description

RA Care Group is seeking an experienced Responsible Individual to provide strategic oversight of our first children's residential home in Leyton, East London.

Working closely with the Directors and Registered Manager, you will help establish and maintain a safe, compliant and high-quality service that delivers positive outcomes for children and young people.

This is an opportunity to join the organisation at an early stage and contribute to its long-term growth.

The role is designed to be flexible and will typically require attendance at the home once per week, with additional availability as required for inspections, regulatory matters or key operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the Responsible Individual in accordance with Ofsted requirements.
Provide effective governance, oversight and support to the Registered Manager.
Ensure the home operates in compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
Monitor safeguarding, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
Support the home through registration, inspections and ongoing development.
Conduct regular oversight visits and review the quality of care provided.
Report to the Directors on compliance, performance and areas for improvement.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and positive outcomes for children.
Essential Requirements

Previous experience as a Responsible Individual, Registered Manager or senior leader within children's residential care.
Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, inspection frameworks and the Children's Homes Regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and delivering high-quality, child-centred care.
