Job Description

The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality patient care by providing medical supervision, assisting senior doctors, and managing emergency situations. This role involves direct patient management, treatment planning, and collaboration with healthcare teams to enhance patient recovery and hospital efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Management & Clinical Services:
Conduct initial assessments, diagnose illnesses, and formulate treatment plans.
Provide round-the-clock medical care and ensure timely intervention for admitted patients.
Monitor patient progress, update case records, and communicate with consultants regarding critical cases.
Assist in medical procedures, minor surgeries, and post-operative care.
Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and infection control measures.
Emergency & Critical Care Support:
Respond to medical emergencies, provide immediate care, and coordinate with specialists for further intervention.
Assist in handling critical patients in ICU, emergency wards, and operation theaters.
Manage resuscitation procedures, ventilator support, and stabilization of critically ill patients.
Patient Interaction & Family Communication:
Counsel patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
Provide emotional support and address patient concerns with empathy.
Communicate effectively with relatives regarding patient prognosis and medical procedures.
Coordination & Team Collaboration:
Work closely with senior consultants, specialists, nurses, and paramedical staff to ensure holistic patient care.
Coordinate with diagnostic, radiology, and pharmacy teams for timely reports and medication management.
Participate in hospital meetings, case discussions, and continuous medical education programs.
