Resident Artist (Part-Time/Temporary) – Short Summary
Organization: Chicago Public Schools (CPS)
Role: Teach and lead arts programs (Music, Dance, Theatre, Visual Arts, Media Arts, Creative Writing).
Job Type: Part-time/Temporary
Pay: $35–$55/hour
Hours: 15–25 hrs/week during school year.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct arts workshops and classes.
Develop lesson plans and student projects.
Mentor students for performances, portfolios, and exhibitions.
Collaborate with teachers and school staff.
Track student progress and participate in meetings.
Requirements
High School Diploma (Bachelor's preferred).
3+ years of arts education/public school experience.
Strong communication, teaching, and lesson-planning skills.
Reliable transportation (Bilingual English/Spanish preferred).
