Supernormal is seeking an Event Reservations Coordinator to join our team.

Supernormal is seeking an Event Reservations Coordinator to join our team. Established a decade ago in Melbourne's CBD, Supernormal is a lively, all-day, Asian inspired restaurant with a contemporary Japanese aesthetic. The refectory-style dining room is flanked by a long, open kitchen and bar; downstairs lies a secret space for events, parties and karaoke. Supernormal’s menu is influenced by the cuisines of Tokyo, Shanghai, Seoul and Hong Kong. It celebrates the notion of shared feasts via a selection of classic dishes alongside new and inspired interpretations.

About the Role

Now into its eleventh year on Flinders Lane, Supernormal remains an ever-evolving, much loved and intrinsic part of Melbourne’s hospitality landscape. This position involves driving guest services operations, coordinating reservations, and overseeing events in a busy restaurant environment. You'll work with our team to ensure smooth daily operations, our venue remains bustling and busy, and all guests experience the best of Supernormal.

Your responsibilities

Managing reservations, working with SevenRooms to optimise table allocations and guest flow.
Communicating with our guests and team, both before and after their visit.
Coordination of events from inception through execution.
Sales support to ensure our Private Dining Room and karaoke machine are always busy.
Provide a creative approach to filling the room.
Support daily restaurant operations through guest-focused service.
What you’ll bring

An understanding of how restaurants operate;
Experience in event sales and coordination;
Detail orientated with strong communication and organisational skills;
Experience with SevenRooms and Tripleseat will be well regarded;
Previous experience in restaurant administration roles will be viewed favourably.
