The Opportunity
Join the Early Years Systems Evidence team at The Kids Research Institute Australia and use your research skills to make a meaningful difference for children and families.
In this role, you will help generate high quality, policy relevant evidence that directly informs decisions, strengthens programs, and improves early childhood health, development and education outcomes. Working closely with senior researchers, you will contribute to applied research and evaluation projects that prioritise practical impact and real world relevance. Your work will support the translation of rigorous research into clear, actionable insights that shape policy, practice and systems in the early years sector.
In a collaborative team environment, you will:
Undertake targeted literature reviews and evidence syntheses that inform program design, policy development and system improvement in the early years.
Draft and coordinate high quality research outputs, including evaluation reports, academic manuscripts and policy facing research translation materials.
Undertake and manage quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including data cleaning, analysis and interpretation using statistical software.
Plan and conduct interviews and focus groups and contribute substantively to the analysis and interpretation of qualitative findings.
Prepare, coordinate and manage human research ethics applications.
Located within our offices in Adelaide, this full-time, ongoing role.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be an organised and motivated researcher with strong analytical and communication skills who enjoys working collaboratively in a dynamic research environment.
You will possess the following:
Honours, Masters or PhD in psychology, public health, health sciences or a related discipline.
Experience conducting literature reviews and synthesising research evidence.
Experience analysing data using statistical software such as SPSS, R, Stata or similar.
Strong written communication skills, including experience preparing research reports or academic writing.
Ability to manage competing priorities, work collaboratively and contribute positively to a research team.
