Purpose of Role:
Marex is seeking a Regulatory Accountant is responsible for ensuring compliance with the regulatory capital and customer protection rules related to its broker dealer and customer clearing business.
Marex has unique access across markets with significant share globally both on and off exchange. The depth of knowledge amongst its teams and divisions provides its customers with clear advantage, and its technology-led service provides access to all major exchanges, order-flow management via screen, voice and DMA, plus award-winning data, insights and analytics.
Responsibilities:
Daily and weekly customer and PAB reserve calculations (Rule15c3-3):
Produce calculations.
Monitor source system reports to ensure data accuracy
Maintain data integrity and reliability
Understand breaks and develop solutions to fix them.
Develop internal controls to eliminate errors stemming from manual or systematic inputs.
Daily, monthly, and quarterly regulatory capital calculations (Rule15c3-1).
Produce FOCUS, SLS, OBS and other reporting as required
Create and process daily files from sub-ledger systems (Broadridge).
Reconcile General Ledgers to sub-ledgers, pursue explanations for and rectify any variances.
Identify emerging issues, investigate, and resolve them.
Communicate with senior management as required.
Research regulatory issues and associated rules and interpretations to identify appropriate actions.
Update and automate process as necessary.
Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges.
Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.
Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.
