If you’re ready to step out of the public system and into something new, this is your moment. A purpose-built day-stay surgical centre is preparing to open its doors in late 2025 and is now recruiting skilled, motivated Registered Nurses to be part of its founding theatre team.

What You’ll Do
Deliver exceptional perioperative nursing care as part of a dedicated orthopaedic theatre team
Work collaboratively with anaesthetic, PACU, and day stay colleagues to ensure seamless patient journeys
Support surgical excellence through best-practice clinical care
Maintain high standards of documentation, compliance, and teamwork
Contribute to a culture where safety, quality, and compassion come first
What You’ll Bring
NZ Nursing Council registration with a current Annual Practising Certificate
At least two years’ experience in orthopaedic operating theatres
Calm, confident clinical decision-making
A team mindset, great communication, and a drive for continuous improvement
Flexibility and readiness to be part of something new

Facility Overview
The centre will feature two modern operating theatres, a five-bed PACU, and a five-chair day stay lounge, all located in a new surgical hub nearing completion in central Wellington. Focused exclusively on orthopaedic day-stay procedures, the environment is designed for efficiency, excellence, and ease—for both patients and staff.
