0.7 FTE fixed term, part time role until May 2025
We are an upbeat and energetic team, who thrive in this wonderfully varied role working with consumers experiencing progressive dementia, acute delirium, as well as depression, anxiety, paranoia and general behavioural problems associated with altered cognition.
We have beautiful facilities that are considerately catered to the needs of our consumers.
We provide comprehensive assessment of the mental and physical health of older persons; we aim to optimise the patients level of functioning and in so doing we offer specialist treatment, care, support and education for the consumer alongside their whanau.
To be successful in this role you will be a Registered Nurse with a Mental Health scope on your annual practicing certificate; Mental Health experience is desirable however due to the nature of care we provide our consumers we will happily consider candidates with general nursing experience who have a passion for caring for those living with a Mental Health condition.
Hold registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand, with mental health scope and current APC
Be a confident practitioner with good patient assessment skills
Possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a wide variety of people
