Description
• The Regional Head – Commercial Banking will lead the relationship management team covering clients within the assigned region.
• The individual will be responsible for driving business performance across asset and liability products, managing portfolio profitability, and ensuring portfolio quality in alignment with the bank's strategic objectives.
• This is a coverage role, accountable for business origination, deepening of existing relationships, and risk management.
Responsibilities
Managerial Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor a team of Relationship Managers to achieve business targets under the guidance of the Business Head.
• Drive new client acquisition and expand existing relationships across asset and liability products.
• Maintain full accountability for portfolio quality, credit risk and profitability.
• Monitor client performance, ensure compliance with regulatory norms and collaborate with credit and risk teams for timely reviews.
• Represent the bank in key client meetings, ensuring high service standards and revenue growth.
Functional Responsibilities:
• The Regional Head – Commercial Banking leads a team of Relationship Managers to achieve business targets across asset and liability products, working closely with the Zonal Head.
• Responsible for originating new large corporate clients and expanding wallet share from existing relationships, while ensuring portfolio quality and managing credit risk.
• Oversees portfolio profitability, monitors client performance, and coordinates with credit, risk, and compliance teams for timely reviews.
• Acts as the primary client contact, driving revenue growth through cross-selling and delivering excellent service, while maintaining strict regulatory compliance and governance standards.
