The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various diagnostic tests and procedures while ensuring accurate results. Responsibilities:
• Collect blood, urine, and other biological samples from patients for testing.
• Prepare specimens for diagnostic testing using advanced lab equipment at Lister Metropolis Diagnostic Centre.
• Perform routine and specialized tests following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure all lab equipment is calibrated and maintained according to regulatory standards.
• Record and maintain accurate patient data, test results, and reports.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including proper handling and disposal of biohazardous materials.
• Assist in conducting quality control tests and participate in quality assurance programs.
• Communicate test results to doctors and patients promptly.
• Ensure compliance with medical ethics, rules, and regulations, especially as applicable to Lister Metropolis Diagnostic Centre.
• Troubleshoot any issues with laboratory equipment and report them to the supervisor.
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Medical Lab Technology (DMLT/BMLT).
• Proven experience as a lab technician, ideally at Lister Metropolis Diagnostic Centre or a similar facility.
• Familiarity with handling diagnostic equipment and conducting tests accurately.
• Excellent knowledge of laboratory best practices and safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in performing tests and recording results.
• Ability to work independently and in a team to manage high volumes of tests.
• Proficient in maintaining and updating patient records electronically.
• Good communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
