About the Role
Our National Office Recruitment team is focused on building a high‑performing group of recruitment specialists, with the goal of establishing a centre of recruitment excellence for our corporate office. Through strengthening our capability and expertise, we are creating a team that sets the standard for best‑practice recruitment across Health New Zealand. This could include roles within ICT and HR to Procurement and beyond. It's an exciting, fast‑evolving time as we lay the foundations for a truly future‑focused organisation.
Our Recruitment Consultants partner with a dedicated portfolio of directorates to provide strategic and operational recruitment guidance, ensuring leaders are supported throughout the hiring process. They are responsible for delivering a seamless, candidate‑centric experience for both applicants and hiring managers.
We're looking for an exceptional recruiter to join our well-rounded team and help us shape a high‑performing corporate function. You'll bring a pragmatic, flexible approach, ready to thrive in an environment where systems are evolving and we're in the process of shaping everything into its future form.
About you
You're an experienced recruitment professional with around five years in a senior advisory or consultant role, ideally within recruitment or broader HR. You bring strong knowledge of NZ employment legislation and thrive in large, complex environments.
You have specialist expertise across the full recruitment lifecycle, from designing recruitment plans to advising on policies, systems, and best‑practice processes. You're confident navigating Individual and Collective Employment Agreements and stay up to date with modern sourcing trends and tools.
Comfortable working with ambiguity and evolving systems, you naturally spot opportunities for improvement and know how to use recruitment systems, data, and analytics to lift performance.
Relationships are at the heart of how you work, you communicate well, influence effectively, and bring exceptional customer focus to every interaction.
