Job Summary:
The CMM Operator/Programmer is responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to verify dimensional accuracy of manufactured components. This role ensures products meet customer specifications through precise inspection and detailed reporting while supporting continuous quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Program and operate CMM equipment using industry-standard software.
Develop inspection routines from CAD models and engineering drawings.
Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections.
Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T requirements.
Analyze inspection results and prepare detailed reports.
Calibrate and maintain CMM equipment.
Investigate dimensional non-conformances and support corrective actions.
Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams.
Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and customer requirements.
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical diploma in Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering Technology preferred.
Minimum 1 years of CMM programming and inspection experience.
Experience with Modus, PolyWorks, CreaformOS ,Zeiss Inspect or similar software.
Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading.
Experience using manual precision measuring instruments.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong computer and documentation skills.
Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
