About the Opportunity
Based in Henderson, WA, the Quality Assurance Advisor is responsible for supporting the delivery of quality assurance activities across Austal Defence Australia programs.
Working as part of the Quality team, you will conduct audits, process surveillance activities, documentation reviews, and compliance assessments to ensure products, services, and business processes meet quality requirements. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to identify non-conformances, support corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement across quality systems and procedures.

What’s Involved
Conduct quality audits and process surveillance activities across operational and project environments
Review business processes, products, and services to ensure compliance with quality requirements
Investigate non-conformances and support corrective and preventive actions
Conduct Quality Management System (QMS) audits in accordance with established schedules
Review and analyse quality records, documentation, and procedures
Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System
Assist with quality reporting, registers, and performance metrics
Work with project teams to identify improvement opportunities and enhance compliance outcomes
You’ll Need
Experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Quality Management Systems
Knowledge of auditing principles and quality management processes
Experience working within manufacturing, engineering, defence, shipbuilding, or related industries
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capability
Ability to investigate issues and identify practical solutions
Strong attention to detail and documentation control experience
Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance
