QA Automation Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Selenium, along with working knowledge of Cypress or Playwright, and strong experience in CI/CD integration. This role demands a passionate quality who can build robust automation frameworks, drive test strategy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast paced agile environment. Play a key role in maintaining the quality of our applications by designing scalable automation solutions and ensuring seamless integration with modern DevOps pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

 Design, develop, and maintain advanced test automation frameworks using Selenium along with Cypress or Playwright.

 Integrate automated test cases into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.

 Develop comprehensive and reusable test scripts that validate functionality, performance, and reliability of applications.

 Perform detailed failure analysis, report defects, and work closely with development teams to drive resolution.

 Participate in code reviews and enforce quality standards across the QA team.

 Mentor and support junior QA engineers in test automation strategy and implementation.

 Continuously improve testing methodologies, automation coverage, and tool adoption.

Required Skills Qualifications:

 6–8 years of overall experience in QA, with at least 5 years in automation.

 Strong proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, with working knowledge of either Cypress or Playwright (minimum 1–2 years).

 Demonstrated expertise in test automation framework design and scalable script development.

 Solid hands-on experience in Java and/or JavaScript for test scripting.

 Proficient in integrating automation suites into CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or similar.

 In-depth understanding of software development and testing life cycles, Agile/Scrum practices.

 Strong analytical skills, debugging capabilities, and a passion for quality assurance.

Preferred Qualifications:

 Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

 Experience with cloud-based automation solutions or test execution platforms.

 Knowledge of test reporting frameworks and dashboard integration.

 ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is a plus.
