Python Lead Engineer
Job Description
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in mobile automation testing (Android and iOS)
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Hands-on experience with Appium for mobile automation
• Working knowledge of Android Studio for app debugging/setup
• Experience with Robot Framework for test script development
• Proficiency in Linux basic commands (navigation, file operations, process management, log inspection)
• Experience using Jenkins for CI/CD test execution and pipeline management
• Strong background in manual and functional testing methodologies
• Experience with mobile device management/lab setups (physical devices, emulators/simulators)
• Understanding of mobile app architecture and common failure points (network, gestures, permissions, OS-level interactions)
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for Android and iOS mobile application testing
• Write and maintain automation scripts using Appium, Python, and Robot Framework
• Perform manual and functional testing for new feature validation and framework enhancements
• Set up and manage test environments using Android Studio and related mobile toolchains
• Execute and monitor automated test runs via Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
• Use Linux basic commands for environment setup, log analysis, and troubleshooting
• Identify, debug, and resolve test failures, flaky tests, and automation stability issues
• Lead automation initiatives, mentor junior QA/automation engineers, and drive best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (dev, QA, infra) to ensure test coverage aligns with business requirements
• Report test results, coverage gaps, quality metrics to stakeholders
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Mobile App Automation Lead Engineer to drive test automation strategy and execution for our End-to-End Service Testing (EST) platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience automating mobile applications across Android and iOS, along with solid manual/functional testing skills to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
