As a Purchase Engineer at Shakti Forge Industries Pvt. Ltd, Metoda, Rajkot, your role will involve managing procurement activities, vendor development, cost negotiation, and inventory control for raw materials, components, and consumables in the Manufacturing / Forging / Casting / Machining industry. Your strong negotiation skills, vendor management experience, and knowledge of engineering materials used in manufacturing will be key in this position.Key Responsibilities:- Procurement & Sourcing - Identify, evaluate, and finalize suppliers for raw materials, components, tools, and consumables. - Raise purchase orders (PO) based on production and project requirements. - Maintain a balance between cost, quality, and timely delivery.- Vendor Development & Management - Develop new vendors to ensure competitive pricing and supply security. - Maintain healthy relationships with existing suppliers. - Conduct vendor audits in coordination with the quality team.- Costing & Negotiation - Negotiate prices, credit terms, and contracts with vendors. - Analyze cost structures and prepare cost comparison sheets. - Continuously work on cost reduction strategies without compromising quality.- Inventory & Material Management - Coordinate with the stores and production teams to manage stock levels. - Monitor material consumption and optimize inventory to avoid stock-outs or overstocking. - Ensure on-time delivery of materials as per production schedules.- Documentation & Compliance - Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and related documentation. - Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and vendor performance. - Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.Key Skills Required:- Knowledge of engineering materials, tools, and manufacturing processes.- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.- Proficiency in ERP / SAP / Tally or similar procurement software.- Good understanding of vendor evaluation and development.- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Salary Range: Based on experience and company standards (e.g., 20000 to 35,000 per month for 3-4 Years).If you meet the criteria mentioned above, please share your resume on hidden_email.,
