Job Description
Location: Mumbai / Bhiwandi (as applicable)
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Coordinator to support the procurement process by coordinating with suppliers, maintaining purchase records, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely availability of materials. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the procurement of raw materials, consumables, and other company requirements.
Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved purchase requests.
Coordinate with vendors for quotations, pricing, lead times, and order confirmations.
Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Coordinate with Stores, Accounts, and Logistics teams regarding material receipt and documentation.
Maintain purchase records, vendor database, and procurement reports.
Compare quotations and prepare cost comparison statements.
Track pending orders and update management on delivery status.
Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, shortages, or quality concerns with suppliers.
Verify invoices with purchase orders and delivery challans before forwarding to Accounts.
Assist in identifying new vendors and maintaining vendor relationships.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly purchase MIS reports.
Required Skills
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Good communication and coordination abilities.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, basic formulas).
Knowledge of ERP/Tally or any procurement software.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
