Full job description
We seek to appoint a full-time project support officer (part-time considered) to support an academic gene therapy clinical trial. This position offers an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic, ambitious, well-motivated individual with excellent management and interpersonal skills to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to assist in the day-to-day running of our gene therapy clinical trial programme. The post is available for an immediate start for a fixed term period of 12 months to provide maternity cover.
The post holder will be responsible for providing day-to-day project support and help coordinate project administration through all stages of the research life cycle (from trial start up through to study closure). The role requires initiative, sound judgement and the ability to interact with multiple members of the project team. This includes core administrative tasks linking with internal finance teams, the trial sponsors team, the clinical site, external clinical monitoring teams, contracts teams and the trial funders.
Awareness of good clinical practice (GCP) is essential to this role, particularly with regard to data handling and record keeping.
