Job Description
Essential/ Key Duties and responsibilities:
• Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers to develop comprehensive project plans using Primavera P6 software, including scheduling, resource allocation, and critical path analysis.
• Schedule Tracking: Continuously monitor project schedules and identify potential delays, bottlenecks, or risks. Implement corrective actions to keep the project on track.
• Cost Control: Work closely with cost estimators and project managers to track project budgets, analyze cost variances, and ensure adherence to financial constraints.
• Progress Reporting: Generate regular progress reports and status updates for internal and external stakeholders, utilizing project-specific dashboards and reporting tools.
• Risk Management: Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Assist in risk assessments and contingency planning.
• Change Management: Evaluate and document scope changes, deviations, and their impact on project timelines and budgets.
• Resource Allocation: Coordinate resource allocation and utilization to optimize project efficiency.
• Documentation: Maintain project control documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and change logs.
• Communication: Foster effective communication among project teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and awareness of project progress and potential issues.
• Quality Control: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that project activities meet specified standards.
• Audit Planning: This component suggests involvement in the planning and execution of audits. Audits are systematic examinations of records or financial transactions to verify their accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Responsibilities may include developing audit plans, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating with audit teams.
Operational Duties:
• Utilize Primavera P6 software to update, and manage project schedules.
• Develop and maintain project-specific dashboards to provide real-time project visibility
• Conduct regular project status meetings and assist in decision-making processes.
• Review and analyze project data to identify performance trends and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Perform cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making regarding project changes.
Required work experience & knowledge:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project control and management in EPC projects, particularly in water supply schemes.
• Proficiency in project scheduling software, specifically Primavera P6.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Understanding of water supply and infrastructure projects, with knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Skills required:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
