Project Architect
Job Description
We are a growing, experienced, category-defying firm that is breaking through boundaries between industries. We are redefining how to build a home—designing at the intersection of site analysis, architectural design, construction, product procurement, and project fulfillment.
We work with an international and diverse clientele, guiding our clients through the entire project—from feasibility studies to specifying items from finishing to furniture—culminating in a stunning prefabricated home, delivered and assembled on-site.
We are seeking a full-time Project Architect in our Somerville office.
Example responsibilities:
Project Architect for a portfolio of high-end custom home projects
Lead Schematic Design through the creation of original design work; present designs to sophisticated clients via Zoom
Oversee Design Development, Detailing, and Material and Specification Selection
Shepherd clients through a structured design and production process, reviewing drawings and details with staff and clients; managing expectations vis a vis budget, timeline, and deliverables; leveraging a complete internal support team
Perform site visits
Mentor junior staff
Coordinate, develop, and maintain relationships with consultants
Essential education/experience:
Professional Degree in Architecture: Licensure is preferred, but not required
10-plus years’ experience in client and project management
10-plus years’ experience working with construction documents
A portfolio of high-quality single family residential design work
Extensive experience conducting site visits and undertaking construction observation
Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and Microsoft Suite
Experience coordinating consultants
A strong design vocabulary
