About the Role
Based in our West End, Brisbane office the Project Accountant will be supporting the QLD Electrical&Gas projects, driving business performance through accurate reporting, maximising opportunities and minimising risks, maintaining a clear P&L and transparent balance sheet and ensuring a healthy cash flow through effective debtor and creditor management.
Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
End of Month tasks including project performance reporting and actual VS forecast analysis
Deliver quarterly reforecasts and project margin analysis
Participate in regular contract reviews and provide insights into contract performance, risk and opportunities, and improvement initiatives.
Accounts payable and receivable
Drive continuous improvement in the completion of end-to-end processes, including purchase to pay, payroll, system etc
Conduct ad hoc financial modelling and strategic analysis
Skills and Qualifications
Relevant degree in accounting
CPA qualification, desirable but not essential
2+ years in project accountant experience, within (capital works) construction or infrastructure industry
Ability to manage, maintain, manipulate, and analyse complex and large data sets.
Experience with SAP, highly regarded
