Job Description
As a Production Manager for Men's Apparel at Mohanlal Sons, your role involves planning, coordinating, and overseeing the end-to-end garment production process to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and cost efficiency. Your strong leadership, technical garment knowledge, and close coordination with merchandising, sourcing, quality, and factory teams are essential for success in this position.
• *Key Responsibilities:**
- **Production Planning & Execution**
- Plan and manage production schedules in line with order requirements and delivery timelines
- Monitor daily production output and resolve bottlenecks
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and materials
- **Quality Control**
- Ensure products meet buyer quality standards and specifications
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams to reduce defects and rework
- Implement continuous improvement practices for quality enhancement
- **Vendor & Factory Management**
- Coordinate with in-house units or external factories for smooth production flow
- Conduct regular factory follow-ups to ensure compliance with timelines and standards
- Resolve production-related issues with vendors promptly
- **Cost & Efficiency Management**
- Control production costs and minimize wastage
- Analyze production efficiency and implement corrective actions
- Lead, train & supervise production staff & line supervisors
- Conduct performance evaluations and skill development
- **Maintain proper production documentation and reports**
- **Work closely with Merchandising, Planning, Sourcing, and Logistics teams**
- Provide regular production status updates to management
• *Qualifications Required:**
- 7-12 years of experience in garment production, with strong exposure to men's Apparel
- Proven experience in managing bulk production operations
- Strong understanding of men's woven garment construction
- Knowledge of fabric types, trims, and garment finishing processes
- Proficiency in production planning, line balancing, and capacity planning
- Familiarity with quality standards, audits, and compliance requirements
- Strong leadership and people management skills
• *Preferred Experience:**
- Exposure to lean manufacturing or productivity improvement systems
