Product Marketing Manager
Job Description
We are looking for a product marketing manager to own the portfolio strategy, market positioning, pricing, and go ‑ to ‑ market execution for PDSS across ANZ. The successful candidate will drive market share growth, profitability, and long ‑ term competitiveness across key segments including utilities, renewables, infrastructure, mining, and data centres.
The role works closely with Sales, Product Management, and regional/global stakeholders to ensure the portfolio is market-led, competitively positioned, and commercially effective.
Products range covers indoor and outdoor power infrastructure systems, such medium voltage primary and secondary switchgear, oil and dry transformers, reclosers, load break switches, surge arresters, voltage regulators, prefabricated solutions and associated product support in utilities, mining, data centers, infrastructure, industrial and government segments.
Key Duties:
Own the end ‑ to ‑ end commercial performance of the Power Distribution product portfolio, including revenue growth, market share, and margin.
Define and execute portfolio strategy aligned to target segments (utilities, renewables, infrastructure, mining, data centres).
Monitor market trends, customer needs, regulatory changes, and competitor movements, and adjust strategy accordingly.
Drive specification and influence strategies with key customers, consultants, and industry stakeholders.
Own pricing strategy and value architecture, including price corridors, discount logic, and margin optimisation.
Partner with Product Management and Operations to balance market competitiveness with cost and profitability.
Set demand generation priorities aligned to portfolio and segment strategy.
Provide thought leadership through industry engagement, key events, customer forums, and targeted content.
Work closely with Sales, Tendering, and Leadership teams to align execution with portfolio priorities.
Track and report portfolio performance, including: m arket share trends, c ompetitive position, p ipeline contribution, l aunch effectiveness
Qualifications:
At least 10 years of experience in product marketing, product management, or commercial portfolio roles, ideally within medium voltage primary and secondary switchgear
Demonstrated experience owning product or portfolio strategy, not just marketing execution.
Familiarity with Australian standards, regulatory frameworks, and utility/infrastructure customer requirements.
Tertiary qualifications in either business, science, engineering, marketing or related discipline.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Comfortable influencing without direct authority in a matrix organisation.
