Role Description The Procurement Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bavla, responsible for managing procurement activities for IoT hardware, sensors, electronic components, and related services. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and evaluating suppliers, preparing and issuing requests for quotation (RFQs), negotiating terms and pricing, and creating purchase orders in line with project requirements and company policies. The role involves close coordination with engineering, project, and operations teams to understand technical specifications, ensure timely material availability, and optimize cost and quality. The Procurement Engineer monitors supplier performance, maintains procurement records, and supports continuous improvement of sourcing processes. This position also contributes to risk assessment in the supply chain and helps maintain compliance with relevant standards and organizational guidelines.
Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong supplier evaluation and vendor management skills, with experience assessing quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Candidates should be proficient in procurement operations, including preparing RFQs, managing purchase orders, and handling order tracking and documentation.
• Candidates should demonstrate solid analytical skills for cost analysis, comparison of quotations, and data-driven decision-making in procurement.
• Candidates should have effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, negotiating with suppliers, and documenting procurement activities clearly.
• Relevant experience in procurement or supply chain within electronics, IoT, industrial automation, or related domains is beneficial.
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, electronics, industrial, or related field) or supply chain management is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP or procurement management systems, basic contract understanding, and knowledge of quality standards are advantageous.
• Ability to work on-site in Bavla, manage multiple priorities, and maintain ethical, non-discriminatory professional conduct.
