Were hiring an Accountant with Private Equity experience for a boutique Private Equity / Special Situations firm in NYC. This isnt a siloed back-office job its a hands-on, fast-moving role where accounting meets operations, governance, and problem-solving.

About the Firm:

You wont just be checking someone else's work youll own processes, troubleshoot complex issues, and support both fund and firm-level operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Review and validate fund admin output (NAVs, allocations, etc.)
• Prepare and analyze financials for entities and structures
• Manage cash and capital flows across multiple vehicles
• Support compliance, governance, and internal process automation
• Partner directly with leadership to improve transparency and reporting
• Handle investor communications and ad hoc projects
• 38 years in Private Equity, Private Credit, or Real Estate Private Equity
• Know which expenses are fund expenses and which are not
• Know your way around SPVs, feeders, waterfalls, and allocations
• Comfortable in ambiguity and energized by solving undefined problems
• Experienced with Excel (pivot tables, formulas, etc.)
• Strong communicator able to interact confidently with CFOs and senior leadership
• Bonus if youve worked with QuickBooks, have a CPA, or public/forensic accounting background
• NYC-based or able to travel there for hybrid set up

Youve only worked in hedge funds or need a rigid structure to succeed.
