We're looking for a Pega Certified Lead System Architect to take a hands-on leadership role in designing, upgrading, and modernizing Pega applications. The ideal candidate brings proven experience in Pega platform migrations and version upgrades, strong architectural judgment, and the ability to mentor development teams while managing complex delivery.
What You'll Do
• Lead and architect Pega application migration and upgrade projects including on-premises to cloud transitions, version upgrades, and infrastructure modernization
• Assess existing Pega applications and design upgrade and migration strategies with minimal downtime and risk
• Define application architecture, integration patterns, data migration approaches, and performance optimization strategies
• Ensure compliance with Pega Guardrails, best practices, and enterprise architectural standards
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, infrastructure, DevOps, and QA teams across complex upgrade programs
• Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, and mentor Pega development teams
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to upgrades, performance, security, and integrations
• Support deployment activities and post-upgrade stabilization
What You Bring
• Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) certification mandatory
• 7+ years of overall IT experience with strong hands-on Pega platform expertise
• Proven experience delivering Pega version upgrades and migration projects
• Strong knowledge of Pega Platform architecture including Case Management, Data, UI, and Integration components
• Experience with Pega Deployment Manager and DevOps tooling
• Solid background in performance tuning and production support
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Eligibility for a mandatory background check
Nice to have
• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Exposure to large-scale enterprise Pega modernization programs
• Prior experience in financial services or other regulated industries
Work setup
• Hybrid in Toronto, ON 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
• 6 month contract
• English proficiency required
