About The Team

Evisort Engineering is expanding and we are looking for a Principal Software Development Engineer to join our team. As such, you will work with a multidisciplinary team of highly skilled engineers, in close collaboration with your Product and Design partners, with the goal of maintaining and expanding our best-in-class contract management offerings. Your technical expertise and ability to work collaboratively so that the sum is greater than the parts will be crucial in realizing our ambitious vision to deliver best-in-class-AI at scale, to transform how major companies optimize and streamline key business processes related to negotiating and managing their contracts.

Your role will be instrumental in advancing our AI initiatives and delivering exceptional value to corporate legal departments and business professionals world-wide.

You will:
• Partner closely with engineering, data science, product management, and design teams to build on the vision, strategy and roadmap
• Participate in a collaborative team culture that encourages iteration and innovation, and a deep understanding of both our business domain and of engineering practices to steer engineering decisions
• Have an impact on the professional development and productivity of your teammates
• Be part of a team that will own several functional areas of our platform (“you build it, you run it”)

The right candidate for this role is a problem solver first and foremost - they should enjoy tackling challenging problems, coming up with creative solutions, and guiding and teaching their counterparts and teammates about how to utilise their solutions.

About You

Basic Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering
• 6+ years experience with Python and a Python web development framework (FastAPI, Flask, or Django)
• 5+ years with RDBMS and NoSQL databases

Other Qualifications
• Hands-on experience developing event-driven applications using Kafka and/or SQS
• Demonstrated proficiency in building and consuming external APIs and integrating with third-party services
• Experienced in building and operating SaaS products in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
• Proficient in Docker for containerization; experience with Kubernetes is preferred.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases, such as Elasticsearch or DynamoDB.
• Understanding of technologies and tradeoffs in modern distributed systems.
• Strong understanding and practical application of modern software development practices, working with DevOps, automated testing, and observability
• Proven ability to operate effectively within multi-functional teams in fast-paced, Agile environments
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform, for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure
• Proven ability to participate in on-call rotations and effectively troubleshoot and resolve production issues
• Experience leading software development projects through all phases, from initial design to post-production release and general availability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with legal professionals

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $170,200 USD - $302,400 USD
