Pre-Editor

We are looking for skilled doc Pre-Editors to support a long-term publishing project involving the pre-editing of doc source files. This role focuses on preparing content for downstream production workflows, with XML conversion knowledge considered an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform pre-editing of doc source files to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to formatting and structural guidelines.
• Use tool to mark and modify document components (equations, tables, figures, metadata, etc.).
• Ensure content is optimized for seamless downstream processing, including potential XML conversion.
• Collaborate with internal teams and adhere to project deadlines.
• Maintain clear documentation and status tracking for assigned tasks.

Required Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Proficiency in doc editing and typesetting.
• Ability to work with complex academic and technical documents.
• Basic computer literacy and comfort working with structured files.
• Experience:
• Previous experience in pre-editing, typesetting, or related content preparation tasks.
