Strong Experience with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of PostgreSQL databases using Terraform. This includes performing regular backups and restores, monitoring performance, and ensuring high availability.
Responsible for planning and executing database upgrades, including testing and validation, to ensure the database remains up to date with the latest features and security patches.
Experience with designing and implementing backup and restore procedures for PostgreSQL databases. This includes implementing disaster recovery strategies to ensure that data can be recovered in the event of a failure or disaster.
As a PostgreSQL DBA, you will be expected to have a good understanding of Linux operating systems, including command-line operations, file systems, and user management.
Expected to have a good understanding of basic networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and Firewall configuration. This will be essential for troubleshooting and configuring PostgreSQL databases.
Cloud Migration: You will be responsible for migrating existing PostgreSQL databases to Google Cloud Platform using tools such as Cloud Data Migration Service. This will involve working closely with the cloud migration team to ensure that the databases are migrated in a timely and efficient manner.
Cloud Platform Experience: You will be expected to have experience working with Google Cloud Platform, specifically with CloudSQL and Data Migration Service. You will be responsible for configuring and optimizing PostgreSQL databases for cloud environments, as well as designing and implementing cloud-based disaster recovery strategies.
