Plumbing Engineer - Third Party Agency
Job Description
• On-site Execution Management
Supervise day-to-day plumbing works at elevated stations, viaducts, and depots to ensure execution as per approved drawings and project schedule.
• Subcontractor Coordination
Act as the primary interface with plumbing subcontractors; allocate work fronts, monitor manpower deployment, and resolve execution issues in real time.
• Work Planning & Scheduling
Prepare weekly/daily work plans in coordination with subcontractors and align activities with civil, architectural, and E&M progress.
• Shop Drawing & Method Statement Review
Review and approve subcontractor shop drawings, method statements, and ensure proper implementation on site.
• Material Planning & Control
Coordinate with subcontractors and procurement teams for timely material delivery, verify material quality, and track consumption vs BOQ.
• Quality Assurance & Inspections
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship meets specifications; raise NCRs and ensure timely corrective actions by subcontractors.
• Interface Management
Coordinate closely with civil, structural, and electrical teams to avoid clashes, especially in congested elevated station/service areas.
• Testing & Commissioning Support
Ensure subcontractors carry out pressure testing, leak testing, and system commissioning as per standards and timelines.
• Safety Compliance
Enforce HSE requirements on subcontractors, ensure safe work practices at height (critical for elevated metro), and participate in safety audits.
• Billing, Progress Monitoring & Reporting
Verify subcontractor measurements, certify RA bills, track progress against milestones, and submit daily/weekly reports to project management.
