Job Title: Plumber – Facility Maintenance (IT Building)
Location: Chennai
Industry: IT Facility Management
Salary: ₹19,000 – ₹21,000 per month (Based on Experience)
Experience: 2–5 Years
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our Facility Management team for the maintenance of IT buildings. The candidate should have hands-on experience in plumbing systems, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of water supply and drainage systems while ensuring minimal disruption to facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of plumbing systems in IT buildings.
• Install, repair, and maintain water supply lines, drainage pipelines, sanitary fixtures, and plumbing accessories.
• Attend daily plumbing complaints and resolve issues promptly.
• Identify and repair water leakages, blockages, and pipeline defects.
• Maintain pumps, valves, flush systems, faucets, and water storage tanks.
• Coordinate with the facility team during maintenance activities.
• Ensure proper operation of sewage, drainage, and domestic water systems.
• Follow safety procedures and company standards during maintenance work.
• Maintain service records and report completed work to the site supervisor.
Required Qualifications
• ITI / Diploma in Plumbing or relevant trade certification.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in plumbing maintenance, preferably in IT buildings, commercial buildings, or corporate facilities.
• Good knowledge of plumbing tools, fittings, pumps, and water distribution systems.
• Ability to identify and rectify plumbing faults independently.
• Basic communication skills and a positive attitude.
Preferred Skills
• Experience in facility management companies.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to work in shifts when required.
• Team player with good problem-solving skills.
