Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Physician/Clinical Assistant specializing in Walk-In and Family Medicine to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of outpatient and inpatient care, with experience in diverse medical settings including urgent care, hospital medicine, and outpatient clinics. Responsibilities
Conduct patient intake assessments, including collecting medical histories, vital signs, and performing physical examinations with attention to detail.
Assist physicians in diagnosing and managing a wide range of conditions across outpatient and inpatient settings, including emergency medicine and hospital environments.
Support clinical procedures such as medication administration, X-ray interpretation, and basic life support protocols.
Maintain accurate documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards and ICD coding requirements.
Coordinate patient flow by scheduling appointments, managing wait times, and facilitating efficient clinic operations.
Support hospital-based activities including Level I Trauma Center and Level II Trauma Center procedures, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and Geriatrics care as needed.
Provide exceptional patient service by addressing concerns with professionalism, empathy, and clear communication.
Assist with medical-surgical procedures, anatomy knowledge application, and physiology understanding to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
Relevant clinical experience in family medicine or walk-in clinics.
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions under physician supervision
Develop and implement patient care and treatment plans
Provide patient education and counseling with a focus on empathy and clarity
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
Proven experience in dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, or emergency medicine environments.
Familiarity with EHR systems, ICD coding, X-ray interpretation, and medication administration protocols.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and inpatient/outpatient care practices.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle intake processes efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Maintain accurate medical records using Avaros (Oscar) or similar electronic health record systems
Experience
Completed at least 1 Canadian equivalency exam is mandatory.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Certified and registered with the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants (CAPA) or relevant provincial regulatory body ( bonus )
Minimum 1 year of experience in Canadian family medicine and walk-in clinic settings preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
