Job Description
Job Summary:
Acer Road Pharmacy, Rendlesham
16 hours WED THURS 8.30am - 1pm, 2pm - 5.30pm.
We are looking for a candidate on a 16 hours weekly basis as stated above. Salary is negotiable depending on the candidate's experience and qualification but we are looking for someone enthusiastic with service provision in mind and potential scope to grow the hours as the business grows.
Full training will be provided with guidance from a forward minded employer with bonus scheme and options for career progression. No experience required but you will be put into a counter assistant course initially progressing into a full time dispenser upon completion of course.
The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drugs.
Duties:
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications
- Prepare and package medications for distribution
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level
- Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering assistance
- Process prescriptions accurately and ensure all documentation is complete
- Administer medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Handle customer transactions with accuracy and professionalism
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser/Technician or similar role
- Proficient in medication administration and pharmaceutical calculations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
