Performance Engineering Lead

Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Performance Engineering Lead to join our team. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of performance engineers, defining and implementing performance testing strategies, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality and high-performing applications.
Responsibilities:
· Team Leadership Mentorship:
o Lead, mentor, and guide a team of performance engineers.
o Provide technical guidance, support, and training to team members.
o Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
o Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
· Performance Test Strategy Planning:
o Define and implement comprehensive performance testing strategies aligned with business and technical objectives.
o Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., product managers, development teams, architects) to understand system requirements and identify performance risks.
o Develop and maintain performance test plans, including objectives, scope, approach, and resource allocation.
· Performance Tuning Optimization:
o Work with development teams to implement performance improvements and optimizations.
o Conduct performance tuning activities, such as database tuning, code optimization, and infrastructure optimization.
· Tooling Automation:
o Establish and maintain performance testing best practices and standards.
o Integrate performance tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous performance monitoring and regression testing.
o Evaluate and select appropriate performance testing tools and technologies.
· Stakeholder Management:
o Communicate effectively with stakeholders on performance testing progress, issues, and risks
Education Experience:
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience in performance testing, with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
