Job Summary:

As a Dosa Master, you will be responsible for expertly preparing and cooking dosas, a popular South Indian delicacy. You will ensure the highest quality and consistency of dosas, while also maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen.

Responsibilities:

Prepare dosa batter from scratch using traditional recipes and methods.

Heat and grease the dosa tawa (griddle) to the correct temperature.

Spread dosa batter evenly on the tawa to create thin, crispy dosas.

Cook dosas to perfection, adjusting heat and cooking time as needed.

Add toppings or fillings to dosas according to customer preferences.

Monitor inventory of dosa ingredients and reorder supplies as needed.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the dosa preparation area, including equipment and utensils.

Follow food safety standards and regulations.

Interact with customers to take orders and provide information about dosa varieties.

Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate dosa orders with other dishes.

Train and supervise assistant dosa cooks, if applicable.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Dosa Master or similar role, with expertise in dosa preparation techniques.

Deep knowledge of dosa batter ingredients and proportions.

Ability to operate dosa-making equipment with precision.

Strong attention to detail to ensure dosas are cooked to perfection.

Excellent time-management skills to handle multiple dosa orders simultaneously.

Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Basic understanding of food safety principles and sanitation practices.

Good communication skills to interact with customers and kitchen staff.

Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

High school diploma or equivalent; culinary certification or training is a plus.
