Contract details: Please note that this is a fixed term maternity cover post until 31st August 2027. Grade 7 pa inclusive. Term time only, Monday to Friday 8.30 to 16.30 with a one hour unpaid lunchbreak.

Start date: 1st September 2026.

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Pastoral Lead to support the work of the year team. This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring educator to make a meaningful impact within a motivated team and to deliver high‑quality, engaging sessions with our students. Dormers Wells High School is an 11-18 mixed, multi-cultural academy within the Dormers Wells Learning Trust. “There is a thriving sense of community at this school… Leaders place inclusion at the heart of their work. The successful candidate will:

Be able to communicate effectively and accurately both orally and in writing to children, parents / carers and other external agencies
Be welcoming and professional when managing the centre
Be flexible and hardworking and able to work under pressure
Be able to follow Trust procedures and use their own initiative as required and be a good team player
Have good organisational and interpersonal skills and be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
