Please note: Internal at risk or redeployee applicants will be seen in the first instance.

Calderdale is situated in Yorkshire nestling in the South Pennines. It is an area of rich cultural heritage, impressive architecture, stunning landscapes and charming towns and villages. With excellent road and rail links and within easy reach of Leeds and Manchester, Calderdale is a great place to live, work and visit.

Calderdale has a vision for 2034 as a place where you can realise your potential whoever you are.

Calderdale Council currently implements a holistic problem-solving approach based on engagement, education and enforcement in order to deliver better outcomes for its communities.

This approach brings together, under a single service lead, many of the Council services that include enforcement as part of their statutory and non-statutory duties.

Calderdale Council is looking for a highly motivated individual to work in a fast-paced team, with an attention to detail, working to strict deadlines and with the ability to work across professional boundaries.

You will be responsible for day-to-day support of the licensing and regulatory function within the Partnership Intelligence Team; processing licensing applications, developing streamlined processes and working with internal and external partners to ensure that local businesses continue to be safe and trusted by the public. As part of the wider Community Protection Team you will be working alongside officers who have responsibility for other elements of regulation and enforcement thus providing resilience and inter-operability across all activity within the team.

This is a great opportunity for a motivated and forward thinking officer who thrives in working as part of a team environment and is committed to driving forward the service in challenging times.

If you are looking for a unique opportunity to gain further experience and knowledge in enforcement and regulatory activity as well as the wider team agenda including Environmental Health, Licensing and Anti-social Behaviour then you are looking in the right place.
