Part Time Cheesemonger

We are looking for a cheese enthusiast to join our passionate and knowledgeable Cale Street team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to expand their career within the artisan food and/or cheese world.

This is a part-time role for one to two shifts per week, on a Saturday and a Wednesday, although more shifts may be available on different days on a week-to-week basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide warm, informed and friendly customer service, whilst offering expert cheese recommendations
Cut, wrap, weigh, and label cheese to the highest standard
Maintain an attractive and well-stocked cheese counter
Assist with stock rotation and merchandising responsibilities
Support with occasional in-store tastings and events
Maintain excellent shop hygiene and presentation standards at all times
What We’re Looking For:

A genuine interest in cheese and artisan food
Previous retail or food service experience (preferred but not essential)
Friendly, enthusiastic, and professional manner
Strong communication and customer service skills
Willingness to learn and follow food hygiene procedures
Availability to work weekends and busy seasonal periods
