We are looking for a compassionate and experienced carer to provide visiting care support to a client based in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire. This is a part-time, live-out role offering 7 hours per week, with an immediate start required.
About the Role The successful carer will visit the client at their home on a regular schedule to provide practical and personal care support. The client lives with their daughter, who works full time (occasionally from home), so the carer will need to be reliable, professional, and comfortable working with some degree of independence within a family home setting.
Care Needs
Mobility support: The client mobilises indoors but uses a stick or rollator when moving outdoors. The carer will be required to assist with safe movement and accompany the client as needed.
Medication support: The carer will be responsible for providing medication prompts and/or administration. It is important to note that medication provision is dependent on the client's blood pressure readings (currently noted at approximately 140), so the ability to monitor and respond appropriately to this is essential.
Schedule & Hours
7 hours per week (visiting care)
Specific visit times to be confirmed — start is required as soon as possible
Requirements
Previous experience in a care role, ideally with older adults
Competence in medication support and administration
Confidence in supporting clients with mobility needs and outdoor mobility aids (stick/rollator)
Ability to work respectfully within a family home environment
A warm, patient, and professional manner
Language & Cultural Preference A Slavic or Bulgarian-speaking carer is strongly preferred for this role, as this will help ensure effective communication and a strong rapport with the client.
Funding This position is funded through the Local Authority, with a weekly budget of £163 for 7 hours of care per week.
