Maxville Manor is inviting candidates to apply for the position of Part-Time Activity Programmer.
Summary
Programmer assists in planning, implementing, and evaluating meaningful recreational programs that meet the interests, needs and abilities of residents.
Qualifications:
Grade 12 and 2-year community college diploma in recreation leadership or similar related program
Food Handlers Certification an asset
Extensive experience in programming recreational activities for older adults in long term care setting
Person-centred and resident-focused
Computer skills & working knowledge of point click care / activity pro programs
Energetic and enthusiastic personality
French-speaking an asset
Sincere desire to help, be empathetic and abilities to stir interest with clients
Self directed and display leadership and organizational skills
Ability to work and communicate with small and large groups and with individuals on a 1-1 basis
Valid drivers license
Have a positive work ethic, team player, motivation
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts: days, afternoon/early evening, weekends, and statutory holidays
Clear Police Records Check for Vulnerable Sector
