About the Role
We're looking for two skilled and experienced Administrators to join our Parking Services team here at Hutt City Council. Based in Lower Hutt, these two full-time roles play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of parking services, by handling appeals, customer inquiries, and financial administration. One position will be rostered to work Monday to Friday while the other position is Sunday to Thursday. Your work will help keep our city running efficiently while providing great service to our community! You will:
Assist with parking appeals and provide excellent customer service for inquiries, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Bring a high level of resilience and excellent communication skills, enabling you to navigate difficult customer interactions and support your team.
Manage financial administration tasks, including processing invoices and account inquiries.
Coordinate office operations and procedures to enhance organisational effectiveness.
Collaborate across teams, council, and with partners to explore opportunities for continuous improvement.
Build and develop effective relationships, engaging with others in a positive manner.
Promote a safe and inclusive workplace through health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives.
About You
We're looking for an organised and proactive individual with:
Strong administrative skills and experience working in a busy office environment.
The ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively.
Excellent computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience and competency with Local Government systems such as TechOne - Ci.
Experience and competency with enforcement software and systems, such as TicketOr, PinForce, etc.
Great attention to detail and strong record-keeping abilities.
A customer-focused approach and excellent communication skills.
